Hyundai has recently unveiled innovative technology to help drivers with hearing impairment, relying on artificial intelligence to analyze out-of-the-box sounds and collect sensor data from a Hyundai-powered vehicle that specifically serves people with hearing impairment.

Hyundai's latest technology replaces the sounds surrounding drivers with hearing problems with visual or tactile alert signals, based on advanced sensors and artificial intelligence technology, allowing them to hear traffic around them while driving.

The technology, designed for drivers with hearing impairment, employs two separate command-aid systems that work together in conjunction; the audio-visual conversion system and the tactile conversion system. The systems use artificial intelligence to analyze patterns of sound outside the car, and then vibrate the steering wheel and displays illustrations in front of the driver to alert him about what is going around, which can be detected by the two systems.
